STILL STUCK AT THE HOSPITAL - MY CHILD MIGHT MISS HER CHRISTMAS CAROL

I am so glad I can chronicle my thoughts on this blog.I should do this more often.

My last post was on the fact that my daughter was in the hospital on admission owing to fever. Here I was thinking with her very fast recovery and all,we would be discharged on time,was I wrong or what! The doctors insisted we should remain and tried explaining the cycle of antibiotics dosages She's taking.

HOW DO YOU FEEL WHEN YOUR CHILD IS ILL

As a mother,we never pray or want to imagine our children falling ill.It is simply not the best of times.Babies,toddlers cannot express their thoughts or really explain what is wrong with them.Even some adults find it difficult,so you can imagine when a little one falls sick. You mind starts running haywire,you start getting scared unnecessarily even if it is ordinary flu.

FOOD REVIEW

I know I am trying to stay away from Rice and reduce it from my diet,I must admit it hasn't been easy.

This beautiful plate of Fried Rice ,Chicken and Salad is from Salado a fine cafeteria inside the Sports Complex of the University of Lagos.Their food is arguably one of the best on Campus. The number of people on the queue can make you want to make a u-turn sometimes, but the wait is always worth the while.
The price is quite reasonable,considering that their target market are the students.The salad like I always tell people is a winner anytime,neatly and freshly done.
Also,the food itself is always so tasty,I don't think I have been disappointed once since I started patronizing this place.The cooks are Togolese and I think they are good cooks.

Finally, Talking of the environment, you would love the ambience, it is quite spacious too,as space is a major issue for most canteens on the Campus.

KILLER ROAD-THE ENUGU-ONITSHA EXPRESSWAY

Yes this picture is that of an highway in the present day Nigeria, this is a road plied by citizens everyday of the week. This is a death trap called road in Nigeria.

We know you are as shocked as we are. A road user posted this on Niaraland and we could not help but blog about it. The question now is,how did the Government fold its hands to watch the road become as deplorable as this? Why would they leave this deep gully that is ready to suck innocent lives in?

EBEANO SUPERMARKET RAZED BY FIRE

A raging inferno guts the biggest supermarket in the Lekki Phase 1  axis of Lagos yesterday evening.
The fire destroyed almost everything within the complex, luckily no life was lost as the fire raged on. We can only hope the business is insured, because the loss is enough to make a business go under,goods worth millions of Naira were burnt . We really feel for the management of Ebeano at this trying period

SNAKES DISTURBS COMMUNITY IN PLATEAU KILLS 50 PEOPLE

As a result of flooding , some snakes were washed into Kanke and Kanam communities in Plateau state. These snake has bitten more than fifty people.

Timothy Golu, representative of the area at the house of representatives, confirmed the development to NAN in Jos after visiting the victims.
Golu said some had died while others in critical conditions were on admission in various hospitals and traditional snake treating homes.
He said 13 victims were at Zamko clinic in Langtang, 20 in traditional healers’ treatment homes, seven in herbalists’ centres, while some visit the centres for daily treatment owing to lack of bed space.
“Some have even been treated and discharged, but a woman at my place, who has been treated and discharged, still has pus gushing from the bitten spot and we have advised her to return to the hospital for fresh checks,” he said.
“We fear that something worse may result from the wound if not properly treated because she is already limping.”

THE QUEST TO REDUCE MY RICE INTAKE

I wanted to phrase the headline as,My Quest to ELIMINATE Rice intake,but I said to myself Bibi don't decieve yourself,just start small.After all the journey of a thousand miles,start with a step.

You see,I am one of those people who would take white Rice for Breakfast, and another variant,Jollof rice or Ofada for lunch,the deliciousness of the Jollof sold near my office does not help matters. While I believe it is good to watch one's weight and all,I must admit I am not a fan of this 'fitfam' fad.
