Anti-Gay Comment May Hinder An African From Being The First BlackPope

I know most Africans,especially Nigerians are hoping for a black pope,since the resignation of Pope Benedict.A Ghanian Cardinal ,Cardinal Peter Turkson who is also hinted to be a front runner for the Papacy position might have shot himself on the foot when he granted this interview to Cnn with Chriatain Amanpour,the gays didn't find his uprightness funny at all,and that might just work against him.At least he spoke the truth.

“African traditional systems kind of protect or have protected its population against this tendency,” he said. “Because in several communities, in several cultures in Africa homosexuality or for that matter any affair between two sexes of the same kind are not countenanced in our society.”

Clamour For Erastus Akingbola's Removal as Pro-Chancellor Of Adekunle Ajasin University Ondo State

A group of students and some indigenes,under the aegis of Campus Anti-Corruption Crusade (CACC), has appealed to State Governor Olusegun Mimiko to remove Erastus Akingbola, the embattled former Managing Director of Intercontinental Bank, as the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA) in the State.

The students based the need for his removal on what they termed Akingbola's questionable Character.According to the petition written to the Governor,they stated that  “We are not saying that Dr. Akingbola is guilty in Nigeria and we are not saying he is not guilty,” CACC said.   “What we are saying is that there are questions over his character and that there is a pending indictment that he needs to discharge'.
