Yesterday, we learnt of how Enyeama was stripped of his captaincy of the Eagles' , a position he has held for some years now. Enyeama even took to his Instagram page to inundate his fans about the ill treatment meted out on him by Sunday Oliseh, he alleged that he was stripped almost naked and booted out of the camp.
There are mixed reactions trailing this not so pleasant news, as Enyeama has endeared himself to so many Nigerians. He is a Hero in the sight of many. In some quarters, the opinion is that, Oliseh himself was a rebel while he played for the National team and even the Clubs he played for Abroad. Stories of how he was sacked by Bochum FC for headbutting his team mate suffices. Hence they are not so pleased with his perceived highhandedness.
Enyeama's resignation is a rude shock to Football fans all over the country.
