The ongoing debate and shocking revelations we are getting from Arewa Twitter(Hausa Twitter)is bewildering, to say the least!
It is amazing to see that a large number of men are actually in support of child marriage in Northern Nigeria. Surprisingly, even the educated ones amongst the men, as seen from these few posts, do have points to back up their reasons.. To think we all usually believe marrying young girls is prevalent to the non literates.
This seems almost like a lost cause, but we can only write against it and campaign against it till things begin to change, what with the dangers inherent in marrying off girls at a very young age.
