HOW DARE YOU RE-ROCK !

 
What is Re-rocking?It is an art of wearing , repeating or recycling your own clothing/accessories/shoes and bags,which you bought with YOUR(emphasis mine) hard earned money over and over again as much as you like.

This simple act however now seem to be a big deal these days,as it is seen like a fashion faux pax in most quarters .As a result,the definition above is now kind of going extinct,going by the culture of extravagance which has now dominated our society today,most especially the youths as the older generation are not perturbed by this act of immaturity.


In this day of social media ,people do not want to be caught dead wearing the same cloth twice,you buy a frock with so much money only to toss it in one corner of your wardrobe,just because you do not want to be seen wearing it again.That's the fastest route to pile up debt in my opinion,except of course you are Ivanka Trump or Dangote's daughter.To some it will  be suicidal to take pictures with same cloth, and post on social media sites,ask instagram 'celebrities '! Also being seen with the same attire in different pictures at different occasions means their 'street credibility' or 'big girlism' will just fall yakata like a pack of cards.The pressure is real, for those who want to be pressured that is.

In an age whereby your value is determined by how often you change your wardrobe,our priorities have nosedived.If the Queen Bee and Kate Middleton the duchess of Cambridge and other world famous celebs  can repeat a dress,you sure can also,lol and i am not saying Beyonce or whoever should be a yardstick,but considering how rich these celebrities are,i wonder what i will say is wrong with me if i can't wear my favorite dress until it fades.

The comment section of Nigerian blogs when a celebrity re-wears a cloth is not encouraging at all.They are called different names from being broke to being classless,you just name it.That is why most go a borrowing just to please their fans.

So i am using this medium to tell you who have been having second thought on recycling certain cloths to take that bold step and feel free to recycle that top that you know fits you like a glove to that event you want to attend!life cannot be that hard you know..Do not in anyway let societal pressures get to you.
