KUDOS TO OUR MOTHERS

 
The picture above has been trending on social media for a week now.The man in the photo shared this picture of himself and his mum who happens to be a fish vendor and sponsored his education.



From the story Joseph Godwin shared on his instagram page,his mother saw him to school from the proceeds of her iced fish business.Imagine sending a child to school from  meagre earnings as an ordinary fish seller in Nigeria,where the economy is nothing to write home about.

The woman is definitely a hero in this present day Nigeria,she like many Nigerian mothers including my dear mother of bessed memory should be eulogized at every opportunity we get.They(our mothers) strive so hard to make sure their children become somebody in the society against all odds.They remain hardworking and resilient even when faced with all sort of challenges.They defy all  theodds.They are worthy of celebration really,from the woman roasting her corn and Boli ob the street corner,to the woman hired to sweep compounds in the neighborhood,to the ones selling their properties when the chips are down,we salute you all .

We see these women toil day and night and begin to wonder how deep a woman's love for her family can be.They are not even doing it to amass wealth or self gratification and that is the funny thing,but for survival.May you all reap the fruits of your labour and thanks to these man for shedding light on what most Nigerian women go through by sharing this inspiring story.
