FATHER MISTAKES SON FOR A ROBBER THEN SHOOTS HIM

A father is devastated after shooting his son when he crawled into their home through a window and mistaking him for robber, police in Austria said. The 70-year-old man is facing charges of aggravated assault after shooting in the direction of his son when he heard a noise coming from the window of his bedroom in middle of the night.
According to the police investigation, the suspect’s 40-year-old son, who still lives at home with his father, returned home late at night, only to realize that he had forgotten his keys. Instead of knocking on the door, he decided to crawl through the bedroom window.The father, who has a habit of sleeping with a gun under his pillow, woke up after hearing strange noises near the window. Without looking to see what was making the noise, he fired two shots. One bullet grazed the cheek of his son. A neighbor heard his screams and came to his aid. The son was transported to a nearby hospital where he is being treated. The father was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault.

The man is so security conscious, he acted on impulse.
