The spate of assassinations in Burundi is getting alarming, a leading member of a Burundian opposition party has been shot dead in the capital, Bujumbura, and this the police has confirmed.
Patrice Gahungu - a spokesman for the small Union for Peace and Development party - was killed by unidentified gunmen while driving home late yesterday.
Recall that the leader of the party, Zedi Feruzi, was shot dead in May.
