This family could have been nursing a tragedy right now if not for providence.
Police and medics rushed to a Kettering home after they say a husband accidentally shot his wife.
It happened after 10 a.m. in the 1500 block of Springhill Avenue.
According to police, the husband shot his wife in the ankle in the living room of their home. Officials said he was trying to show her how to operate the gun when he fired the shot. Police said they believe the incident was accidental.
Officers said the man is a CCW permit holder and has no record.
According to officers, the couple’s adult daughter and her child were in the house at the time. No one else was hurt.The wife was taken to Kettering Medical Center by ambulance with what officials are calling non-life-threatening injuries.
