Nigerians woke up to the heartbreaking news that thirty people lost their lives while watching a match between their different football clubs at a viewing center in Calabar.
The deceased Football fans, who were at the center to enjoy the match between Manchester United and Anderlecht were said to have been electrocuted to death when a high tension cable fell on the makeshift viewing center.
Such a tragic occurrence for the game lovers, in what could have been a time of banter and enjoyment, what happened was a loss of many lives in the most gruesome manner possible.
Our hearts goes out to their families at this very tough time. They would never have envisaged not seeing their loved ones again in such a short while.
