MEET THE WATERMELON FARMER

That youths in Nigeria are being told to embrace agriculture is no longer news, it is  the new gold mine.

We have been told to look inwards in the country, to pay attention and invest in  this  long abandoned agricultural sector, which has been neglected owing to the discovery of oil in Nigeria in the 1960s. We should learn from countries like Israel, where agriculture thrives on desert land. Therefore, that Youths are now  embracing agriculture is a welcome development.

This is a post to celebrate millions of Nigerian youths who without any form of Government support and given the harsh economic realities in the country are striving to make things work.

We cannot help but get inspired by this young farmer and his Watermelon farm. He is one of the youths taking the bull by the horn. It is no mean feat cultivating on twenty acres of land in a city like Lagos. One would think this was only possible at remote areas in the country, he has proved us wrong.

I guess we all have that innate ability within us to break through barriers. We also urge the entire public to support this venture(this is not a sponsored post). To encourage him and other young Farmers.
