Before there was Anthony Joshua, there was Bash Alli.
Veteran Nigerian Boxer, Bash Alli's pain about his exclusion from the recent Boxing tourney in Lagos State is legit, as opposed to comments in some sections that he was feeling entitled.
This is a man who has paid his dues in the World of Sports. Ideally he should have been invited as a special guest by the Government, alongside other dignitaries.
Being ignored in sporting events, one of such magnitude as the Lagos State at 50 commemorative event in a field where he once held sway is a bit off.
We are poor at recognizing and rewarding those who had at one time or the other made the nation proud. We should learn our lessons as a nation.
