CHANGE STARTS WITH YOU AND I

Change starts from us all..  We must start by making conscious efforts as  individuals to change and who knows, the Nigerian society might become sane. We still litter our roads with dirt. The other day around Motorways Lagos, an empty bottle of water was thrown out of an exotic automobile. Such scenarios are common. Think of what certain passengers in Danfos would throw out.

We still refuse to pay certain bills especially when it is coming from the Government. Some Houses have refused to  pay their electricity bills for years now, the excuse being that they do not get to enjoy electricity. What about the light enjoyed when power is restored, have they been paid for? Also, we jump queues alot. At the BRT park last month, some people decided to 'scatter' the line as they have waited too long for a bus to come. What about queues at the ATM, same story. We are simply an impatient lot.

Most men still think it is fashionable to urinate at any gutter when pressed, be it obscure or not. If women can search for the nearest restrooms, so should men. Unruliness is a thing in our society and until their is a change in mindset, I am afraid the country will never measure up to its counterparts in developed countries.
