VOCABULARY TIME- IMPORTANCE OF HOMONYMS


I often reiterate  on this blog that even the best of English scholars can make mistakes once in a while, the difference and what sets them apart is constant practice.Also, reading overtime makes one somewhat seem like a pro when it comes to mastering the English Language. There is no magic to it. I cannot get tired of teaching homonyms on the blog and offline, reason being that they can cause so much embarrassment in our writings when we interchange words that are not meant to be used for the other.


I get messages like 'who English help' a lot. Until English stops being our lingua Franca,then it needs to be mastered. Below are some words for today, there are hundreds of words that sound alike but are not spelt the same way.
