Anti-Gay Comment May Hinder An African From Being The First BlackPope

I know most Africans,especially Nigerians are hoping for a black pope,since the resignation of Pope Benedict.A Ghanian Cardinal ,Cardinal Peter Turkson who is also hinted to be a front runner for the Papacy position might have shot himself on the foot when he granted this interview to Cnn with Chriatain Amanpour,the gays didn't find his uprightness funny at all,and that might just work against him.At least he spoke the truth.

“African traditional systems kind of protect or have protected its population against this tendency,” he said. “Because in several communities, in several cultures in Africa homosexuality or for that matter any affair between two sexes of the same kind are not countenanced in our society.”
