TO WRITE PROPERLY OR TO ABBREVIATE

Abbreviations are now the in thing while typing on social media. The problem is that the dangers far outweighs the advantages of it as it has transcended beyond just social media, but into school work, official mails and what have you.

Young school leavers now find it hard to spell appropriately. Examiners while marking exam scripts now have headaches and  cringe in horror at the damage abbreviating has done to this present crop of youths.


Everyone now seeks the easy way out. At first they seemed cool, after all to use words like  LOL,LMAO,BRB shows you know what's up in the realm of social media. We all use them no doubt, as i am equally guilty of some, but We have misused abbreviations now that to some of us, seeing it in a text or messages now becomes so annoying. Here are some annoying ones I want to share with you;

HNM     -Happy New Month

Hny        -Happy New Year

GGMUB   -God go make you bigger

K              -  oK

Tx            -   Thanks

LK           - Like

FANX   -Thanks
