On this day that we celebrate the girl child all over the world,
We wish that, amongst other things,
That they(girls) may be given equal opportunities
That they may thrive
That they may be educated
That female genital mutilation is abolished completely
That we may see an end to girlchild trafficking
That we can make the world a better place for children across the globe.
