GOVERNOR AJIMOBI THIS IS NOT CHANGE

Like his counterparts in the ruling party, during the electioneering campaigns, they chanted the word change everywhere and everyday! They promised heaven on earth, reforms in various sectors.Anything just to sway the voters, especially the youths, and swayed they did.

Upon getting the desired result and voted back into office for a second term, the story changed. The people were no longer powerful, the votes had been freely given.

While his own children schooled and still schools in some of the best Universities in the western World.

They live a life of luxury, they flaunt wealth ostensibly.A birthday in California today as seen in the tabloids.

A destination wedding at Lebanon tomorrow, Post wedding dinners at  choice locations etc.

Yet Governor Ajimobi does not seem to see anything wrong in youths/ other people's children wasting away for Eight months at home, while their school is on lock down.

He berates them, talks down on the protesting students, seem to hold them in contempt even.He asserts  clearly that there are no funds. The arrogance on the part of the Governor in the video leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

He even dares them to do their worse.. That is what has become the fate of helpless students in Oyo state, even from the Primary school level.

Remember not too long ago,Governor Ajimobi 'dealt' with secondary school students in the state and didn't sheath his sword until they apologized.

I am sure Awolowo whom all these Southwest Governors swear by,would cringe in his grave, this was not the legacy he left behind. The sage was a proponent of free education, he wanted everybody lettered. Most of our present day leaders were all beneficiaries of Awo's Free education scheme.

What has Nigerians done to deserve this type of leadership, how did we get here? Our write ups, criticisms and protests does not seem to help in changing the status quo.

Until we actually start voting in people with credibility and stop the worship of money, until we stop selling our votes on the altar of five thousand Naira and other frivolous freebies, until then, any Governor can dare you to 'do your worse'.

Their time will soon be up but before then they must pay for their reckless living.
