Innocent Idibia,popularly known as Tubaba is unarguably one of the greatest musical exports from this part of the world.
His songs are known to resonate in every nooks and crannies of the African continent and even beyond.That is how popular Tubaba is. A winner of several awards,both local and international. He is putting this popularity to good use,as the singer recently used one of his social media platforms Instagram,to call for a protest nationwide come February 5th,2017,over the pitiable state of the nation.
It is an admirable thing when artists use their massive platforms for worthy causes.It shows they are in tune with their environment and sensitive to the plight of others .What is now left is for Idibia to sensitize the people on the need for a peaceful protest.This is a brave decision on Tubaba's part and we applaud his courage,however,the protest must not be hijacked by hoodlums and never do wells.
We hope the protest leads to right policies by our leaders as Nigerians cannot continue to live this way,the recession,killings and insecurity are too much for the citizens to bear.
