REMEMBER THIS TEXTBOOK?

Today is throw back Thursday.  Do you recognize this book?

When you talk about a book being one's academic nightmare in Secondary School or High School like some call it, look no further than this small book. It is called Four Figure Tables and it gave yours truly the hibby jibbies in those days.

Some of us simply couldn't get a hang of it. No, we were not dull, the text is just a bit too complicated. We were told it is the alternative for a calculator. Really, what is it used for apart from that?

Remember the antilog and something other log terms?
Also, the numerous numbers are enough to make one drowsy. Kudos to astute Mathematicians out there, solving mathematical problems, you all are geniuses in your own right. With that being said, Bankers, Mathematicians, statisticians and others in related fields, we want to believe it is useful in the real world, can anyone explain how it is applied?
