A CLASSIC CASE OF MISPLACED PRIORITIES

When Nigeria learns to separate religion from the state, the country might move forward a bit.

Once we still juggle both, this country will continue to be dragged down. We are talking about both religions here. Both Islam and Christianity. They should not meddle with affairs of the state . All we need is a distance between governance and organized religion.

In a state where poverty is endemic, where children are not in school and Almajiri system is the order of the day. We have the Government planning to build more mosques. A state where there are no good hospitals, where the roads are not at par with what is obtainable in the 21st century. They deem it fit to focus on building more  religious houses.

This is a way of keeping the people forever improvished. A dangerous tool,  if the truth must be told. This project would ensure no one asks questions especially the non-educated citizens, the only hope they would have is the promise of paradise.

They will be made to think their suffering here on earth is justified, these leaders have mastered the art of deception. Nigeria has a long way to go. We can only keep hoping and doing our part in contributing to the change we desire.
