For years, we have studied this enigmatic, charismatic and fearless woman named Dr Joe Okei Odumakin.
We are fascinated by her drive, her beliefs and overall, her life which is dedicated to activism.
She has been at the forefront of championing the cause of women for decades now. Every interview she grants is worth reading. She has challenged goverment policies, she treads where even men choose to ignore. What a warrior she is. Dr Odumakin have been manhandled by security operatives in the time past during the course of her leading protests and agitating for change, be it from successive Governments or when it comes to the empowerment of women.
A woman that has rescued a lot of victims of domestic violence, freeing them from their oppressors while seeing to it that judgment is meted out. We celebrate this iconic figure today. Thanks for being that voice that the society needs to listen to. For being a role model to so many women out there. She inspires us and she is our woman crush for today.
