Thirty nine year old Emmanuel Macron has won the French presidential elections. This will make him the youngest person to be elected president in French history.
The election was keenly contested one, however, the young former investment banker won in a landslide. Defeating his closest opponent, Marine Le pen.
Like a wave sweeping through the political atmosphere worldwide, the French electorate voted against the establishment. With his En Marche movement, Macron was able to garner the majority support. It was indeed a Vote for change.
