The Internet has been awash with jokes, insults and attacks on Rap Artist, Bow Wow's personality since Yesterday. This time around, Internet users didn't just wake up to troll him. He was caught living a lie, thus the Rapper brought the attacks upon himself.
Bow Wow posted the picture of a private Jet on his page, claiming he was on his way to New York for a Press Tour, only for another Internet user to post a counter picture, where he showed Bow Wow on the same flight as him sitting across browsing through his phone, in the economy section.
Now, there is nothing bad in flying economy. Why Bow Wow would lie over being where he is not is the main issue here. This is where the pressures of Social Media comes in. It has gotten so bad now that most people are projecting themselves to be who they are not. They want to be seen as high flyers literally, living the Jet set life, no pun intended. People now steal pictures of luxury items claiming it to be theirs, from wads of cash to expensive jewelry, just name it. They want to keep up with the Joneses. In Nigeria only, two celebrities has been named and shamed over such incidence.
As for Bow Wow, this will not be the first time the Rapper will be enmeshed in a controversy. There was a time he claimed to have bought a mansion, whereas the truth was that he rented the place. The moral of the whole story is that people should stay true to themselves, there is no point trying to impress other people. Do not let Social Media rule over your life.
